Ashgrove Nursery School, Newry, County Down

About our school

Ashgrove Nursery school is situated in Chestnut Grove, a residential area of Newry.  The school has been opened since 1973 and was extended in 2001.  Ashgrove caters for 52 pre-school children aged 3-4 years on a part-time basis, during two sessions at the following times:

9am-11.30 am - Morning session.
12.15pm-2.45pm - Afternoon session.

Our school looks like one of the neighbouring bungalows and this "homely" quality epitomises our philosophy.  We strive to provide our children with a positive introduction to an education system which builds on their home experiences and continues in partnership with the child's parents to ensure they receive the best start on a path of lifelong learning.

Miss McAlinden teaches the morning session Monday-Thursday and Ms Toale teaches the Friday morning session and every afternoon class.
